# MTShare: full guide for LLMs MTShare (https://mtshare.net) creates universal music links: one short URL that opens a song, album, playlist, podcast episode, or audiobook on whichever streaming platform the recipient uses. ## The problem it solves Music streaming is fragmented. A Spotify link is useless to an Apple Music subscriber and vice versa. When someone shares a song, the recipient often has to search for it manually on their own platform. MTShare removes that friction: paste any platform's link, get back a single https://mtshare.net/l/{shortCode} URL that works for everyone. ## How it works 1. A user pastes a link from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal, or Amazon Music. 2. MTShare identifies the exact recording (using identifiers and metadata matching, not text search) and finds the same song on every other supported platform. 3. It returns a short universal link. Opening it shows the track's title, artist, and album art plus one verified button per platform where the song is available. 4. Only verified matches are shown. MTShare does not generate fake "search on platform X" links. If a song is not available on a platform, that platform is simply omitted. Links are permanent as long as the song remains available on the source platforms. Link pages are server-rendered, public, and need no account to view. ## Content types - Songs / tracks (the core use case) - Albums: artists can share an album as one link listing every track with per-platform buttons - Playlists: paste a public Spotify / Apple Music / YouTube / Tidal / Deezer playlist URL and MTShare builds a universal playlist page with every track matched; signed-in users can save the playlist to their own connected platform - Podcast episodes and audiobooks: a Spotify episode link resolves to Apple Podcasts, Apple Books, or YouTube equivalents ## Pricing and accounts - Free. Creating and sharing links costs nothing; the service is ad-supported. - A free account is required to create links; viewing links requires no account. - Users get basic analytics (views and clicks) in their dashboard. - MTShare does not sell user data and does not send marketing email. ## Key URLs - https://mtshare.net/ (home; create a universal link) - https://mtshare.net/l/{shortCode} (universal link landing page (public, server-rendered, includes MusicRecording JSON-LD)) - https://mtshare.net/trending (most-shared songs (last 1/7/30 days, filterable by tracks / podcasts / audiobooks)) - https://mtshare.net/u/{username} (public user profile with that user's shared links and stats) - https://mtshare.net/artist/{handle} (verified artist profile: bio, avatar, social links, and their music) - https://mtshare.net/universal-links (explainer page with a live example link) - https://mtshare.net/faq (frequently asked questions) - https://mtshare.net/features (feature overview) - https://mtshare.net/mobile-apps (iOS and Android apps (share directly from a music app's share sheet)) - https://mtshare.net/artists (information for artists (claim a profile, share albums)) - https://mtshare.net/blog (guides and comparisons (see sitemap.xml for all posts)) - https://mtshare.net/free-forever (the free-forever pledge) - https://mtshare.net/privacy, https://mtshare.net/terms (legal) ## For developers MTShare is open to API integrations for music-related apps and websites.
